The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met under thechairmanship of Governor, Satya Pal Malik approved operationalization of the102-108 Toll Free Ambulance Service in the state. 102-108 free AmbulanceService will provide round the clock transportation to the patients requiringimmediate medical care especially critical, Trauma, accidental victims,pregnant women & sick children. The intervention will prove to be a boon insaving precious lives by providing timely medical care to people particularlyresiding in far flung and difficult pockets of the state.
The State Government will bring a fleet of 416 Ambulancesunder the ambit of this service, which will be operationalised through acentralised Call Centre working on 24x7 basis.
102 Ambulance Servicewill provide free of cost service to the targeted population (pregnant women,sick children etc). Under no circumstances, any user fee will be levied fromany targeted beneficiary for providing transportation services.
108 Ambulance Service is predominantly an emergency responsesystem, primarily designed to attend to patients of critical care, trauma andaccident victims etc.
Dedicated centralized Call Centres, one each at Srinagar andJammu, would be established to run 102-108 Ambulance Service in the State. Theservices of Call Centres would be outsourced for which the J&K MedicalSupplies Corporation Limited had floated the tenders and finalized the RateContract. The 102/108 project will be operational by 15 October 2019. 1. 2. The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met underthe chairmanship of Governor, Satya Pal Malik accorded sanction to theappointment of Principals for Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar andfive new GMCs of Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Kathua and Rajouri on regularbasis.
3. The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met underthe chairmanship of Governor, Satya Pal Malik approved merit based selectionsfor admission to B.Sc Nursing/Post B.SC Nursing, Paramedical andB Pharmacy courses in the State through the J&K, Board of ProfessionalEntrance Examination (BOPEE).
4. The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met underthe chairmanship of Governor, Satya Pal Malik accorded sanction to the transferof administrative control of District Hospitals (Associated Hospitals) ofAnantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Kathua and Rajouri along with their assets to thefive new Government Medical Colleges of Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Kathua andRajouri respectively.
